This fall, the Pyenson Lab will be going to South America. Here is a teaser image from our previous work with our colleagues from MNHN in Santiago and MPC in Caldera:

More soon. It involves the Atacama, bonebeds, giant toothy seabirds, walrus whales and aquatic sloths.
We will also be presenting on some preliminary findings from this work at the IV Congreso Latinoamericano de Paleontología de Vertebrados, in San Juan, Argentina. Check out it out the meeting homepage or, better yet, see you in Argentina.
